Summary:
For this project, we were tasked with creating an electronic light show using an Arduino Uno board.I worked with Collin to learn how to build simple circuits using alligator clips and wires. Once we got the hang of it, we started using breadboards, resistors, and potentiometers to create more complex circuits using the Arduino booklet. Through this project, we were confused at times but helped each other and got through it. We had to complete three packets, doing a serious of testing with different equipment. Some of the circuits we built included flashing lights patterns and serious of sounds making songs. At the end of this project, Collin and i had to present a pattern that we had created our selves. However we had a broken bread board so at times it would work and other times it would not, this made it very challenging to have a constant pattern working. We chose to have a code be sent to play on a Buzzer, play Mario cart while lights flashed from red, yellow, green. However our breadboard could only make one of these occur at the same time so we decided to stick with just the buzzer. Reflection: This project was a challenge for my partner and i, we both have never done this type of work so we were struggling at parts. This project first started out with the Arduino packet that helped us make new and improved circuits. Some of the circuits and lights however were crazy cool, making them to continues patterns and sending codes to to the circuit to present songs was very interesting. I had understand the majority of the work, and my partner was very good at putting things in the correct place, because it was really easy to mess up and have the whole thing go wrong. Also if something is misplaced, equipment can break and fry and then it cant be used anymore, My partner and i had done this once. so of the peaks my partner and i had were completing all the packets and understanding the majority of it. Also working well with my partner and helping each other. We also had a couple pits in this project and the main one was time management. One of them was with our light show we had ran out of time and had to come in at lunch to fix it up. Concepts: Parallel Circuit: The current has a "choice" between two paths. They have the same voltage, but can have different current through them. Current: The flow of electricity in a circuit from positive to negative or negative to positive. Through each testing material, this was used to creat either a light, a buzzer or anything else. Voltage: The difference in potential energy across a circuit, the push or pull of electricity. Programming: is a process that leads from an original formulation of a computing problem to executable computer programs. Used for almost everything. Resistance: A force against the current, decreasing it. Especially in the first packet, This always occurred making the light less bright. Circuit: A circuit is a complete loop of electrical conductors including a power source. Used for everything. |
